Sheybani primarily uses of free verse in this book which is his genre of choice.
The theme of Love, bordering erotic, appears in most poems, with desert sceneries always lurking in the
background (Encyclopedia Iranica).
The majority of the protagonist's love and affection in this book, however, are expressed toward the desert
and reflect the poet's anguish for his beloved nation and its people.
Critics regarded this collection as Sheybani’s best literary oeuvre (Behbehani, Shahroḵhtash).
