Sheybani belongs to a generation of avant-garde and progressive artists looking to enact change through art. This generation was at war on numerous fronts. Their first and most crucial goal was to change people's tastes and assumptions. The second was to achieve a dynamic framework for Modern Art. The third included finding a method to fit their art into this dynamic framework for Modern Art while still establishing it as valuable to the rest of the world. Additionally, a major goal of the movement was to create meaningful artwork that records and reflects people’s identities on this side of the globe (referring to Iran). (Agdashloo, Zendeh rood.) To honor his artistic legacy, the Museum of Manuchehr Sheybani was inaugurated following his death on the 80th birthday anniversary in his birthplace, Kashan.
